Ma'at is the Goddess of truth, justice and cosmic balance. She is different from other Egyptian Gods, as she is not believed to have been an actual living being, but rather the personification of a moral ideal.
All good little Ceremonial Magickians must know the Hebrew Alphabet ... so this was my way of learning while stitching! I used Crowley's 777 for the colour correspondences.
A very good friend of mine was celebrating an important birthday, so I created this needlepoint for her. Val uses the Taroc in her work, and her personal Significator is the Queen Of Cups - so here she is, as the Queen, complete with magickal correspondences and colours representing Pisces, Neptune and the suit of Cups. I must confess the red shoes have no correspondence value - let's just put them down to artistic license (and the fact that Val loves shoes!).
Rafa'El is the Archangel representing the element of Air and the direction of East (well, according to the tradition I follow, anyway). This piece includes various representations of air, such as the wand, the sigil of Rafa'El, the astrological air signs, the gesture and the symbol for air.
Gavri'El is the Archangel representing the element of Fire and the direction of North.
Uri'El is the Archangel representing the element of Earth and the direction of West.
Mika'El is the Archangel representing the element of Water and the direction of South.

This is a larger version of the Landscape cushion available as a kit. It is 65cm high and 105cm wide, and took around 400 hours to complete!
