Full Moon in Capricorn - 19 June, 2008
The Capricorn Full Moon represents your ambition and integrity. What is your version of success? Things come to a head during the Full Moon, so if you are wanting to change jobs, or start a new business, this would be the perfect time. Also, the Sun moves into Cancer on Saturday ... this means in the Southern Hemisphere it is the Winter Solstice, and in the Northern Hemisphere the Summer Solstice. The Winter Solstice is the beginning of the esoteric year, and is a good time for making resolutions for the coming 12 months.

Purchase needlepoint kits
All of my needlepoint kits include the pattern, instructions, wool, canvas and needle. I use wool from the Victorian Tapestry Workshop, since they have a huge range of colours, and are of high quality.
You can have your finished needlepoint made up into a cushion, wall hanging, or whatever takes your fancy. (If you're not a sewer, most needlepoint shops provide these finishing services.)
Who is Threefold Designs?
My name is Michelle, and I am a South Australian needlepoint designer. I started designing needlepoints because I couldn't find interesting designs on the market, and the idea of "painting with wool" appeals to me. When we stitch with wool on canvas, we are "weaving" part of ourselves into the resulting fabric.
Originally, the name Threefold Designs symbolised the Triple Goddess - Maiden, Mother and Crone. Triple Goddesses are common in many pantheons around the world, and can also be seen in the phases of the Moon - Maiden (the waxing Moon), Mother (the Full Moon) and Crone (the waning Moon). This was the inspiration of my first design, Moon Phases, which utilises the colours of the Triple Goddess - white, red and black.
The number 3 is very important in many spiritual paths - in Paganism, the Threefold Law symbolises the nature of karma, or the Law of Cause and Effect in the three planes of existence. In Numerology, Threefold comes down to a 3, which symbolises creativity and self expression. In ceremonial magick, the three elements of Air, Water and Fire combine to make the fourth element Earth.
What is needlepoint?
You probably know it as tapestry or cross stitch. The designs are created using a cross stitch, but are worked on open weave canvas (most cross stitches are worked on fine Aida cloth). Cross stitch on canvas results in "chunky" stitches, which are less likely to distort the design, and create a bold, more robust finish.
Needlepoint is very easy to learn!
